Text: etrailer.comAll right, today on this 2010 Volkswagen Jetta, we're going to install part number HM60100VA, and this is a Hopkins Backup Sensor System. First thing we need to do to install it is open up the trunk and we'll go ahead and remove the interior liner. This will give us access to finding a location to drill our hole out for our wire, and also attaching our wires for power. So these snaps go all the way around the perimeter of the panel, and then in the center of the panel there will be four screws that we have to remove. Now this panel is also connected to a handle for a lock on the inside. We'll take our panel and just rotate it up and out of the way, and set it on top of the trunk. All right, next we'll go ahead and find a location to run our wire from the outside to the inside. We'll make sure the location's on the right hand side of the license plate light. If we look on the inside edge of the trunk lid, there's a round opening. more
